Endemol has announced the commission of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition by Associated Broadcasting Company in the Philippines, marking the first Asian version of the series.

Associated Broadcasting Company has ordered a 12 episode localized series of the format to run on TV5.  The series will run as monthly specials and will be produced in the local language, Tagalog.

Endemol’s CEO of Asian operations Arjen van Mierlo said in a statement, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has for many years been one of Endemol’s most successful and talked about shows and we’re bringing it to Asia for the first time with great pride. It is a feel good format on a huge scale and I’ve no doubt audiences here will become immersed in it, just as they have around the world.”
