Nordic World, a program sales coalition that includes several of the region’s key broadcasters, has announced it has signed format representation agreements with four Finland-based producers: Yellow Film & TV, Story of…, Intervisio and Aito Media.
Nordic World will represent seven Yellow Film & TV formats, including Blind Chef (pictured), produced by Yellow subsidiary Story of…, in which two celebrities prepare a gourmet meal with the guidance of a top chef, who is only heard and not seen.
Nordic World’s agreement with Emmy Award-winning Intervisio includes musical talent format Do-Re-Mi-Family, which searches for the best family singers.
Nordic World will also represent Aito Media’s formats Do You Want to Be an Astronaut?, in which six ordinary people go through astronaut training, and Your Mum Was an Ape, which explores the DNA of four celebrity guests to reveal their prehistoric ancestry.
Jan Salling, chief operating officer and sales director of Nordic World, said in a statement, “Nordic World believes that, by introducing the great ideas behind these formats to foreign players with bigger budgets and broader global ambitions, we can open up a market of huge creative and commercial potential.”
