Discovery brings three new titles to MIPTV

Flying Wild Alaska, Boomtown and Last American Cowboy are some of the new offerings making their way to MIPTV from Discovery Communications.

“For more than 25 years, viewers have turned to Discovery for portraits of fascinating—yet relatable—real-life characters living and working in extreme situations,” said Nicolas Bonard, SVP, Discovery Enterprises International, describing the market offerings.

Flying Wild Alaska is a 3 Ball Productions series, featuring the Tweto family and their Alaska air taxi and cargo business. The 10 x 60-minute series airs on Discovery Channel in the U.S.

Boomtown tells the story of what happens to the people of Parshall, North Dakota when oil is found underneath the wheat fields. The 8 x 60-minute series is a Left/Right production.

The third new key series from Discovery Communications is Last American Cowboy, produced by BASE Productions. The eight-part one-hour series spotlights three ranching families in Montana.
