Robert Redford and his Sundance Institute will team up with AEG Europe for a four-day, multidisciplinary arts festival at the O2 arena in 2012.

Sundance London will feature a selection of new American films that the Sundance Institute will curate, while AEG Europe, which owns the venue, will oversee the music component of the event, focusing on U.S. acts. The four-day fest, slated for April 26-29, will also feature discussions, panels and other cultural programming.

“It is our mutual goal to bring to the UK, the very best in current American independent cinema, to introduce the artists responsible for it, and in essence help build a picture of our country that is broadly reflective of the diversity of voices not always seen in our cultural exports,” said Redford in a statement.
