Eden Gaha, formerly showrunner of reality hit Celebrity Apprentice, has been named president of Shine-owned producer Reveille, replacing outgoing MD Howard T. Owens.
Gaha will head Reveille’s unscripted, creative, development, digital and brand integration departments. Starting in June, his appointment follows a series of recent production hires and sees him reporting to Shine Group Americas CEO Emiliano Calemzuk, who will continue to oversee the company’s scripted output.
The appointment follows the hiring of Heather Schuster, formerly exec producer of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, as senior VP of creative affairs; Matt O’ Brien (51 Minds) as VP of creative affairs; and David Anderson, formerly VP of sales strategy and planning for Fox Audience Network, who has joined as head of digital.
Calemzuk said: “Eden’s proven creative and showrunning expertise with major network unscripted productions makes him a perfect fit to lead Reveille at a time when the company internally produces not only two of television’s largest franchises in The Biggest Loser and MasterChef, but new brands such as One Born Every Minute and Live to Dance.
“His appointment, along with the recent additions to the team, will further develop Reveille’s reputation as the leading reality television producer. In addition, boosting our already successful digital capabilities significantly will enable us to embark confidently on the next stage in the company’s evolution.”
