Burns and Moore coming to Olbermann’s Current TV show

Acclaimed documentarians Ken Burns and Michael Moore will be key contributors to Countdown with Keith Olbermann, launching June 20.

Acclaimed documentarians Ken Burns and Michael Moore will be key contributors for Countdown with Keith Olbermann, launching June 20 on Current TV.

Olbermann, the outspoken journalist and commentator formerly with MSNBC, came to Current in February as its chief news officer and will host and exec produce the show. Burns and Moore will lend their perspectives to the program along with other regular contributors, including comedian Richard Lewis, Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas and National Association of Free Clinics director Nicole D. Lamoureux.

“I hope these talented individuals, and the others we are to announce in these weeks before the premiere on June 20, will give viewers a sense of the strength and depth of the franchise we’re assembling,” said Olbermann of his cast of contributors.
