Broadcasters buy bugs and beer from Beyond

The global distributor has announced numerous deals with European networks for its doc specials and factual series, such as Monster Bug Wars (pictured).

Global distributor Beyond Distribution has sold numerous doc specials and factual series from its MIPTV slate into Europe.

Monster Bug Wars (pictured), a realscreen MIPTV Pick, has been acquired by Discovery Networks for the UK, Western Europe and the CEEMA territories.

Lifestyle-oriented series also scored with Euro broadcasters, with All for One with Debbie Travis picked up by Vitaya in Belgium, TV Norge in Norway and Spektrum Home in Hungary/Czech Republic and Slovakia. Design DNA sold to Stylia for French-speaking Europe.

TV2 in Norway took Fire Scene Investigation, while TV3 took Jersey Shore-esque series The Hunks .Northern Alliance grabbed format rights for the latter title for Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Chello Multicanal in Spain picked up the documentaries How Beer Saved the World and Cat Crazed, while VTM in Belgium and Yes-DBS Satellite Services in Israel took another realscreen MIPTV Pick, I Don’t Have Time for This.
