realscreen presents two new clips from Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero, the forthcoming six-hour special from exec producer Steven Spielberg, Discovery Channel, Science, DreamWorks Television and KPI Productions, including a rare glimpse inside the Hangar 17 museum.
The two-part special premieres on Discovery Channel in the U.S. tomorrow (August 25) at 8 p.m. EST, and showcases the men and women determined to rebuild and restore the site at Ground Zero, constructing the 104-story One World Trade Center.
“With incredible access and deft storytelling, Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero captures a city and a country moving forward but never forgetting,” said Debbie Myers, general manager of Science, who added that the program “will be a touchstone for audiences to remember, reflect and look forward.”
The first clip focuses on Hangar 17, where a collection of debris and wreckage from the World Trade Center is kept, while the second looks at the role firefighters played in the event.
The special is produced for Discovery Channel and Science Channel by DreamWorks Television and KPI Productions. Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey are executive producers for DreamWorks Television. Danny Forster, Victor Kralyevich and Kristy Sabat are executive producers for KPI. Debbie Myers and Christo Doyle are executive producers for Discovery Channel and Science Channel.
