U.S. net Investigation Discovery is to celebrate Halloween with what it is calling a “Halloscream Scarathon,” featuring programming such as Nightmare Next Door and doc Pig Farm, while Planet Green will feature 13 days of paranormal content.
On October 29, ID will kick off a themed night with the documentary series Nightmare Next Door at 8 p.m. EST. The “Midwestern Malice” episode, billed as a fan favorite, sees the murder of 31-year-old Laura Wynn rocking the Midwestern town of Poplar Bluff, in Missouri.
Next up at 9 p.m., the Barna-Alper Productions and E1 Entertainment documentary Pig Farm (pictured) takes viewers to the farm of Canadian serial killer Robert Pickton.
Over on sister network Planet Green, programming focusing on hauntings, UFOs and the paranormal will air from October 19 to 31 in primetime. The network’s 13 Days of Halloween will culminate with a screening of A Haunting in Florida on October 31 at 8 p.m. EST, followed by parts one and two of A Haunting in Connecticut.
A Haunting in Florida is a docudrama on a family who encounter paranormal sightings in their new home; while A Haunting in Connecticut documents a family who realize they have moved into a haunted funeral parlor and are forced to enlist Edward Warren, a demonologist and his wife, Lorraine, a clairvoyant, to help them exorcise their home.
