AMC Networks has appointed Bruce Tuchman as president of its international division, AMC/Sundance Channel Global.
Tuchman (pictured) is coming to AMC/Sundance Channel Global from MGM Worldwide Networks, where he had held the post of president since 2001.
He will lead the strategic expansion of the company’s global business, including the distribution, programming and marketing of Sundance Channel, currently distributed in Europe, Canada and Asia; and WE tv, currently available in Asia. Based in New York City, Tuchman will report to AMC Networks COO Ed Carroll.
AMC/Sundance Channel Global senior VP and GM Harold Gronenthal will report to Tuchman, as will senior VP of global distribution Ed Palluth.
“Bruce brings tremendous experience successfully launching networks and growing existing businesses throughout the world, making him an ideal executive to maximize our growth opportunities in key regions internationally,” said Carroll of the hire.

During his stint at MGM Worldwide Networks, Tuchman launched channels for the first time across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, while the division continued to grow its existing channel businesses across Latin America and Asia. He came to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from MTV Networks, where he served as general manager of Nickelodeon Global Network Ventures and senior vice president, Nickelodeon New Media Ventures.
