ITV Studios America has gone into production on an as-yet-untitled series that goes behind the scenes at U.S. air travel company Southwest Airlines, being made for TLC.

The American network has ordered 13 half hour episodes, with a premiere date yet to be announced. ITV Studios America has secured access to the airline, which is one of the country’s largest, and the series aims to go “beyond the gate” to show what it takes to run an airline, while also joining customers preparing to travel for events.

Production starts at Baltimore Washington International Airport and Denver International Airport, with more airports expected to be shot in the coming weeks.

Amy Winter, GM of TLC, said: “Air travel has become incredibly accessible and, as a result, millions of travelers navigate the challenges of the airport, especially during the upcoming holiday season. Southwest is a beloved brand, and its customers and employees will reveal the passion, commitment and fantastic payoff of ‘getting there’ that helps keep us all flying.”
