WE tv’s head of development departs

John Miller, New York-based senior VP of original productions and development for WE tv and Wedding Central, has exited the U.S. cable network after two years in the role.

John Miller, New York-based senior VP of original productions and development for WE tv and Wedding Central, has exited the U.S. cable network after two years in the role.

A spokesperson for WE tv confirmed Miller’s departure, and said the network was yet to appoint a replacement.

Miller joined WE tv in October 2009, developing original programming and serving as the exec in charge of production on all WE tv-produced programming, including series such as Bridezillas, My Fair Wedding and Braxton Family Values.

Prior to joining the net, he served as exec VP of television at The Weinstein Co., before which he was an exec producer at Touchstone Television.
