Steven Schupak named chief content officer at Maryland Public Television

Most recently senior vice president of content for MPT, Schupak will now add oversight of creative services such as interactive media to his responsibilities.

Steven Schupak, most recently senior vice president of content for Maryland Public Television (MPT), has been named chief content officer for the organization.

His recent move into this roleĀ grants him oversight of creative services such as interactive media, broadcast promotion and graphic design, in addition to current responsibilities overseeing all regional and national productions, as well as national sponsorship sales, licensing and national distribution of MPT programs.

Schupak, who joined MPT in 2003, oversees a team of nearly three dozen staff producers and writers who, along with freelancers and talent, help create more than 350 local, national and international programs annually.

Maryland Public Television is a non-profit, state-licensed public television network and member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)
