Rubicon TV names Jahn head of programmes

Shine Group-controlled Norwegian indie Rubicon TV has hired NRK's commissioning editor for entertainment, Barbara Jahn, to be its new head of programmes.

Shine Group-controlled Norwegian indie Rubicon TV has hired NRK’s commissioning editor for entertainment, Barbara Jahn, to be its new head of programmes.

Jahn will join the prodco from the Norwegian pubcaster in August. In her new role, she will have overall responsibility for all Rubicon’s productions and will work in close co-operation with producers.¬† She will also become part of Rubicon’s management group.

Rubicon’s titles include Clash Of The Choirs for Norway’s TV2, Beat Your Host for TVN, and Master Chef for TV3. Jahn has been commissioning editor for entertainment at NRK since the department was established three years ago.

Rubicon CEO Lasse Hallberg said of Jahn: “She’s experienced and knowledgeable in television and has been a very important part of the external commissioning department. She’s very well liked in the business and has a great flair for what the viewers like.”
