Sydney-based Beyond Distribution has acquired Wild Racers, a 24-part series following the Adventure Racing World Series.

Produced by Australian prodco Nothin But Shorts International, the half-hour series explores the adventure racing event, which includes mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, running and logistical challenges.

Wild Racers follows teams from countries including the UK, the U.S. and South Africa, as they compete in six races across New Zealand, Tasmania, Ecuador, Costa Rica, South Africa and Switzerland.

“There is a big appetite for extreme sporting achievements and it doesn’t get much bigger than the physical and mental conditions captured in this series,” said Cherry Yeandle, acquisitions assistant for Beyond.¬†“Featuring some of the most visually stunning and challenging environments on the planet, Wild Racers really captures the determination of those taking part as well as the physical tests of endurance.”
