An Intervention-style reality series in which city slickers are confronted about their redneck pasts will debut on U.S. net CMT on September 15.

Forming part of the country music and lifestyle cable net’s push into the reality comedy space, Redneck Rehab (8 x 60-minutes) is hosted by comedian and “redneck specialist” Tom Arnold and is produced by Pink Sneakers.

On the show’s first episode, aspiring actor Patrick Higgs is paid a visit by his over-the-top redneck relatives, who are concerned about his love for designer clothing and fancy cars.

Executive producers for the show are Kimberly Belcher Cowin and John Ehrhard for Pink Sneakers, and Jayson Dinsmore and Lewis Bogach for CMT.
