South African chef Sibahle Mtongana, known as Siba, has signed on board with Food Network EMEA, for a cooking show that will air throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East in 2013.
The channel’s latest locally commissioned series on DStv in South Africa will star Mtongana, one of the youngest food editors in the country, who recently starred on MNet’s Cooking with Siba (pictured).
She specializes in recipe development, food writing and styling and will help to develop the show with the Food Network. Filming is expected to start early next year.
“Food Network is always on the look out for fresh new talent in South Africa and Siba certainly fits the bill. She’s dynamic, passionate about food, and audiences love her – everything that’s important to the Food Network brand,” said Nick Thorogood, SVP of content and marketing for Food Network EMEA.
“It’s really one of those things that most people only dream of; hence I am humbled and forever grateful for this amazing opportunity to share my passion for food with viewers in more than 85 countries!” added Siba.
