One Born Every Minute prodco Dragonfly Film and Television has appointed former TwoFour Entertainment exec Tamara Abood (pictured) to its senior creative team.

Joining the London-based Dragonfly in October, Abood will take on the newly created role of head of factual entertainment, with a remit to help build the indie’s slate. She will report to creative director Simon Dickson.

Abood has served as the head of factual at TwoFour Entertainment since 2010, and also spent time at UK pubcaster Channel 4, as a commissioning editor in features and news and current affairs.

“Tamara is a big-hitting program-maker who has, over the years, run some hugely ambitious and demanding series,” said Dragonfly MD Sanjay Singhal. “She has solid journalistic credibility and a fantastic instinct for attention-grabbing television. I’m very excited about the prospect of working with her.”
