In a series of hires and moves, National Geographic Channel (NGC) has hired Noel Siegel as SVP of production and development, upped Lynn Sadofsky to VP of that department, and brought on Robert Palumbo as an EP.

Siegel comes to NGC from the Mike Fleiss-founded prodco Next Entertainment (The Bachelor), where he was SVP of program development. He was previously with Fox Look, as VP of production, development and acquisitions, where he worked with current National Geographic Channels U.S. CEO David Lyle.

He also held positions at Hallock Healey Entertainment and CBS Broadcasting International/King World International Productions, and began his TV career as a development exec at VH1. Based in NGC’s Washington office, he will report to NGC EVP of programming Michael Cascio.

Lynn Sadofsky, who joined NGC last December from Discovery Communications, will continue to be based in NGC’s New York office, and will report to LA-based SVP of programming and development Alan Eyres.

Robert Palumbo will also be based in New York and will report to Sadofsky. He comes to NGC with experience producing programs for History (Swamp People, Marked), Sundance Channel (Unleashed by Garo) and Showtime (This American Life), among others. He also has past experience working with Nat Geo on assorted international programs.
