Norm Bolen, Louise Lore leave Hot Docs board of directors

Heading into its 20th edition, the Canadian doc festival has brought Barry Avrich, Charlotte Engel and Katarina Soukup into the boardroom.

Canadian festival Hot Docs has shaken up its board of directors, with the National Film Board of Canada’s Louise Lore leaving her ex officio seat.

Also stepping down is former broadcaster and producer lobbyist Norm Bolen, a former Hot Docs co-chair; Yanick Létourneau, president of Peripheria Productions; and Danijel Margetic, president of Balkan Films.

Moving onto the Hot Docs board is Barry Avrich, CEO of Melbar Entertainment Group; Charlotte Engel, producer at Rock Yenta Productions; and Katarina Soukup, president and producer at Catbird Productons.

The 20th edition of Hot Docs is set to run from April 25 to May 5, 2013.
