Sales jump for Electric Sky’s royal baby doc

Distributor Electric Sky's recent addition to its catalog, Wills & Kate: Baby Fever, has landed multiple global sales after it was revealed yesterday that Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant.

Distributor Electric Sky’s recent addition to its catalog, ITN Productions’ Wills & Kate: Baby Fever, has landed multiple global sales after it was revealed yesterday that Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant.

German broadcaster ZDF was the first to pick up the 45-minute doc, which was made for Channel 5 in the UK, followed by MTV Media in Finland, VMMA in Belgium, and M6 in France.

In North America, CBC News Network in Canada and Discovery Fit & Health in the U.S. acquired the doc, while in New Zealand, Sky Network Television picked up Wills & Kate: Baby Fever.

The doc explores what it takes to raise a monarch and how William and Kate will balance traditions in modern day.

In addition to the deals, Electric Sky has also acquired the 60-minute documentary The Royal Paintbox, which follows HRH The Prince of Wales as he investigates the Royal family’s tradition of painting.
