Discovery Networks Int’l hires Charlotte Reid

Discovery Networks International has named Charlotte Reid as its director of production and development for lifestyle and entertainment.

Discovery Networks International (DNI) has named Charlotte Reid as its director of production and development for lifestyle and entertainment.

In the newly created DNI role, Reid will lead lifestyle and entertainment commissioning in Scandinavia and the Netherlands, as well as serve as exec producer on key returning series for DNI and Discovery UK. She will report into Sarah Thornton, DNI’s VP and head of production and development for lifestyle and entertainment.

Reid joins from Chocolate Media where she was creative director for factual and features, working on productions for the BBC and ITV. Before Chocolate she worked as an exec producer at UK prodco Maverick.

“I am very excited that Charlotte is joining us,” said Thornton. “We worked closely with her at Maverick, and she executive produced the TLC global hit My Naked Secret. She has a real passion for lifestyle and entertainment content, is brimming with new ideas and will be a great addition to the team.”
