Beyond International has named Michael Murphy as acting general manager of Beyond Distribution following Fiona Crago’s resignation.

Crago, who has left the company to pursue further university studies, had served in the role of general manager since 2003. She had been with the company since 1997.

Murphy, based in Ireland, has been a director of Beyond Entertainment since 2004, and has held roles at post and VFX house Windmill Lane Entertainment and TV3, and also founded and programmed Ireland’s Channel 6.

In his new role, Murphy will be based in Dublin.

“I personally wish Fiona success with her new endeavors and thank her for the significant contribution she has made to Beyond over the past 16 years,” said Mikael Borglund, CEO and managing director of Beyond International. “I am confident that Michael will be able to lead the Beyond Distribution team effectively and continue the growth trajectory of the division going forward.”

“Beyond has been an incredible company to work for over the last 16 years,” added Crago. “I only hope that I have been able to contribute as much as Beyond has given me both professionally and personally.”
