BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow, Channel 4 chief creative officer Jay Hunt, and travel presenter Michael Palin (pictured) are among the first speakers confirmed for this year’s Sheffield Doc/Fest.

The UK festival, which in June will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, is this year set to host some 75 conference sessions and masterclasses.

Hadlow will appear in conversation with comedian Sue Perkins on June 13 at 2;30 p.m. to discuss her approach to BBC2′s factual programming. Hunt, meanwhile, will talk on June 14 at 4:15 p.m., discussing the ways Channel 4 is changing in its ‘post-Big Brother‘ era.

June 12 will see award-winning broadcaster Melvyn Bragg give his take on the role of the arts on television, while comedian and travel icon Palin will discuss his approach to documentary the following day.

The festival will also feature a ‘Who Do You Think You Are? – Behind the Scenes’ session on June 15, at which the show’s creator and executive producer Alex Graham will discuss the secrets behind its successful 10-year run.

This year’s Sheffield Doc/Fest takes place from June 12-16.
