Endemol to distribute unscripted AMC titles

Endemol Worldwide Distribution will distribute several of U.S. cable network AMC's unscripted titles, including Comic Book Men (pictured), Small Town Security and Immortalized.

Endemol Worldwide Distribution will handle international distribution for several of U.S. cable network AMC’s unscripted titles, including Comic Book Men (pictured), Small Town Security and Immortalized.

The two companies have previously produced the unscripted series Freakshow, the Sundance Channel drama series Hell on Wheels and the upcoming AMC drama Low Winter Sun.

“This is a relatively new genre for AMC and we look forward to helping them achieve the same recognition for their non-scripted programs as they have done for their scripted series,” Cathy Payne, Endemol Worldwide Distribution’s chief executive, said in a statement.

Comic Book Men (16 x 30-minutes) is a series about comic fanboy culture starring filmmaker Kevin Smith and the staff at his New Jersey-based comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash; Small Town Security (16 x 30-minutes) follows the staff at a family-run security and private investigation firm in Ringold, Georgia; and Immortalized  (eight x 30-minutes) is a creative taxidermy competition series.
