All3Media International will handle global distribution for NBC’s multi-platform game show The Million Second Quiz.

Created by Studio Lambert, the show will see contestants take part in a 12-day, 24-hour trivia competition in a giant, hourglass-shaped structure located in Manhattan. It will encompass a nightly primetime series and an online experience in which viewers at home and NBC affiliates will be able to interact daily with the contestants and follow the game play.

The U.S. network is billing the hybrid show as its first “fully convergent television experience.”

“This show is at the cutting edge of second-screen play along,” Gary Woolf, All3Media International’s SVP of digital and business development, said in a statement. “We will be able to offer international buyers a complete digital package that will really unlock the value of this unique format.”

Million Second Quiz is produced by All3Media America with Studio Lambert. The company will launch the show internationally at MIPCOM in October and is working to tailor the concept for all territories.
