Ellender to leave FremantleMedia

FremantleMedia International CEO David Ellender (pictured) has decided to leave the company after 12 years, to pursue new challenges.

Ellender – who before taking on the CEO role held positions of MD of FremantleMedia International Distribution and Global CEO of FremantleMedia Enterprises – will leave the company next month.

In a statement, FremantleMedia’s overall CEO Cecile Frot-Coutaz paid tribute to Ellender, praising him for playing “a significant role in shaping and growing FremantleMedia into one of the world’s leading independent media companies.”

She added: “We would like to thank him for his vision, leadership and the huge contribution he has made to the company. We wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.

“TheĀ announcementĀ of a new head of FremantleMedia International will be made in due course.”
