Def Leppard, the British rock band behind such massive hits as “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Hysteria”, is hoping to cause the latter with a new docuseries, produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and now making the rounds at networks.

The prodco is teaming up with the band as well as AEG Live/AEG Network Live and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas for Living With Def Leppard, which follows the veteran band as it prepares for and completes a run of concerts at the iconic hotel celebrating its multi-platinum smash album Hysteria.

The partners are promising that the multiple-episode series will feature “the band’s story told by the band” as well as interviews with long-time fans. According to a release announcing the project, plans are afoot to extend the project into a signature series, showcasing multiple bands with their stories revealed in a similar format.

“The bands performing at Hard Rock Hotel boast a huge following with dedicated fans, and it’s appropriate that we’re kicking off this series with Def Leppard, a band that boasts a long list of songs that continue to resonate with multiple generations of fans,” said Jonathan Murray, chairman of Bunim/Murray Productions, in a statement.

“By taking viewers inside the performance we will capture the music and the personal stories of the band members, juxtaposed with the memories of their devoted followers,” he added. “By bringing together these bands, AEG and Hard Rock Hotel, we’ve built a team that will deliver music documentary at its best.”
