Annual UK festival Sheffield Doc/Fest is expanding from five days to six, with the 2014 installment set to run from June 7-12.
The fest will open for the first time on a Saturday, with the second Crossover Market also launching that day. On June 8, the Crossover Summit, TEDx talk and Doc/Campus International sessions will take place, while industry sessions will run from June 8-12.
The unveiled schedule also sees networking event MeetMarket running from June 9-10.
The film program will screen across expanded venues in Sheffield, with special screenings taking place in the nearby Peak District. The festival will wrap with the Sheffield Doc/Fest Awards ceremony on June 12.
“These are exciting times for Doc/Fest,” said Heather Croall, the fest’s CEO and director. “This year we celebrated our 20th anniversary and presented our most ambitious program to date. But we’ve outgrown five days – by adding an additional day, delegates can get the most out of the programming, particularly interactive at the Crossover Summit and TEDx talk.”
