Distributor DCD Rights has acquired 45 hours of home renovation programming from UKTV.

The deal, which was brokered by UKTV head of program distribution and strategy Jonathan Newman and DCD Rights CEO Nicky Davies Williams at MIPCOM, covers My Dream Derelict Home (15 x 60-minutes) and Nick Knowles’ Original Features (30 x 60-minutes, pictured above).

Produced by Truth North Productions and hosted by Simon O’Brien, My Dream Derelict Home profiles people undertaking ambitious and imaginative renovations on dilapidated properties.

On Nick Knowles’ Original Features, the Who Dares Wins star teams up with archaeologist Dr. Cassie Newland to study heritage homes and restore the period buildings to their former glory.

DCD Rights has the worldwide rights for both series.
