Keshet Canada and Fadoo Productions have signed a coproduction agreement to develop and produce Keshet’s format Marathon (pictured) for the Canadian market.

Keshet International’s Canadian joint venture, led by Mark Rubenstein, selected Toronto-based Fadoo Productions to develop the Keshet docu-reality format in Canada.

Marathon follows six ordinary people, each with significant personal challenges and no athletic background, as they train over eight months to run a marathon.

“We are very pleased to have formed this partnership with Corey Russell and the team at Fadoo,” said Rubenstein, managing director of Keshet Canada, in a statement. “Corey is an outstanding television storyteller in the sports lifestyle genre, and the perfect partner to bring Marathon to Canadian television and digital platforms.”

The Israeli version of the show is produced locally by Endemol Israel for Keshet Broadcasting.
