MTV pre-releases docudrama via app

MTV has released the entire season of its upcoming docudrama Wait 'Til Next Year (pictured) via its app, ahead of the series' television premiere on November 1.

MTV has released the entire season of its upcoming docudrama Wait ‘Til Next Year via its app and ahead of its television premiere on November 1.

All 12 episodes of the series are available now via the MTV app on the iPhone, iPad and Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members in the U.S., marking the first time an entire series has been pre-released on an app.

Wait ‘Til Next Year follows one season of a Bad News Bears-like high school football team, both on and off the playing field.

The cast includes the Lincoln Park Railsplitters team, as well as cheerleaders, parents, friends and family.

Punched in the Head Productions’ Craig D’Entrone, Amelia D’Entrone and Sean Travis are executive producers, while MTV executives in charge of production are Lauren Dolgen, Jessica Zalkind, Julie Schwachenwald and Sara Cohen.
