Electus has hired Jessica Sebastian (pictured) for the newly created role of vice president of unscripted television.

She will develop, direct and produce the Los Angeles-based multimedia studio’s unscripted projects, from pitch to series, and report to exec VP of unscripted television Corie Henson.

Formerly the senior director of development for now-defunct cable net Style Network, her credits include pop star Rihanna’s fashion competition series Styled to Rock. Prior to that, she was VP of development at Original Media, where she worked as a showrunner on The Rachel Zoe Project and executive produced Be Good Johnny Weir.

“Jessica has a unique and varied skill set,” Henson said in a statement. “She has been a producer, a developer and a buyer, plus she has amazing relationships with some of the most influential brands in the industry. Jessica will be integral as Electus ramps up internal development and continues to build our unscripted business.”

The news comes after Henson joined Electus from ABC earlier this year, where she had served as VP of alternative series and specials.
