Blue Ant to launch international distribution arm

Canadian producer/distributor Blue Ant Media has hired Solange Attwood (pictured) to head up the development and launch of an international distribution division.

Blue Ant Media has hired Solange Attwood (pictured) as senior vice president, international to oversee the development and launch of the Canadian company’s international distribution arm.

Attwood previously oversaw the launch of Si Entertainment’s distribution division and prior to that was the manager of international sales and acquisitions for Tricon Films and Television with a focus on factual, lifestyle, documentaries, specials and scripted aimed at international audiences.

“Having Solange join Blue Ant Media marks the launch of our international division,” said Raja Khanna, Blue Ant’s CEO for television and digital, in a statement. “Her experience in the international distribution marketplace will be instrumental in both building a broad catalog of content rights and delivering Blue Ant programs to a worldwide audience.”

She is based out of the company’s Toronto headquarters. More details about Blue Ant’s international distribution division will be announced soon.
