U.S. cable network HBO is to air Bruce Springsteen’s High Hopes on April 4.
The half-hour documentary was directed by Thom Zimny and follows Springsteen (pictured) during the recording of his latest album, High Hopes, which came out in January.
The film includes behind-the-scenes studio, rehearsal and tour footage, and interviews with Springsteen and guitarist Tom Morello, who joined the rock icon and his E Street Band on the band’s 2013 Australian tour.
The E Street Band will also be honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a special Award for Musical Excellence on April 10. The ceremony will air on HBO in May.
In 2010, HBO aired the Springsteen doc The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town, which was also directed by Zimny.
Hope Hopes airs on April 4 at 9:30 p.m. EST/PST.
