A&E Network has signed on for detective series D.O.A. (working title) from veteran Law & Order executive producer Dick Wolf (pictured).

The 8 x 60-minute series – exec produced by Wolf and and his prodco Wolf Films along with Left/Right Productions – follows a group of detectives re-examining controversial murder cases with unsolved questions. The show, which begins production this spring, stars Chicago detective Michelle Wood, Miami PD detective Joe Schillaci and retired NYPD detective and supervisor Kevin “Spider” Gannon.

“A&E has long been an innovator in crime and justice programming,” said David McKillop, exec VP and GM of A&E Networks, in a statement. “We are looking to expand on our industry leading position by partnering with the master of the genre, Dick Wolf, on such a fascinating and unique new series.”

The executive producers for Wolf Reality are Dick Wolf and Tom Thayer, while exec producers for Left/Right are Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver. EPs for A&E Network include Laura Fleury and Brad Holcman.
