Reality TV producer Talpa Media Group has set a date of September 22-26 for its second annual Talpa Pitchfest competition in Los Angeles.

The Pitchfest invites creative individuals and companies with an original idea for a TV format to submit their ideas for consideration, for the chance to meet with John de Mol (pictured above) – the exec producer and creator of The Voice, Utopia, Big Brother, Deal Or No Deal and Fear Factor – and the Talpa creative team.

“There are so many creative people both inside and outside the industry that have great ideas for television shows but feel they don’t have a way to have their idea heard,” said de Mol. “Talpa Pitchfest could be the option these creative people have been looking for.”

Last year more than 60 established producers and emerging creatives participated in the inaugural Talpa Pitchfest, the company said, and four co-development deals were closed with Talpa Media Group.

The deadline to pitch is June 20. Check out talpapitchfest.com for full details.
