A mommy blogger, her motorcycle-riding pastor husband and their five children are the stars of HGTV’s forthcoming home reno series My Big Family Renovation, premiering on August 7.

The series chronicles blogger Jen Hatmaker and her family’s journey as they sell their home and buy a 105-year-old farm house in need of major renovations. The Hatmakers want their new home completed as quickly as possible, but find it challenging to convert the structure into an open floor plan, six-bedroom home.

“We fell in love with the Hatmaker family right away,” said Steven Lerner, senior VP of programming and production at HGTV and DIY Network, in a statement. “They wanted to treat this farmhouse renovation as a fun, family adventure, and these are the reasons that viewers are going to enjoy this show.”

The series will debut on HGTV on August 7 at 11 p.m. EST/PST.
