Latvian pubcaster LTV has commissioned a 24 x 30-minute local version of Banijay International-owned format This is Your Fridge (pictured).

The series – set to air this fall – will be produced by MTG’s ONAIR Studios, and use the local title Ciemiņš virtuvē, which translates to Guest in the Kitchen. It will be stripped daily on LTV, airing in an 8 p.m. slot.

In the show, originally created by the UK’s Mendoza Films, a well-known chef enters the home of a celebrity and makes them a three-course meal using only the ingredients in their fridge. The series has aired for multiple seasons on the original commissioning broadcaster SVT1 Sweden, as well as on TV3 Puls Denmark and TV3 Norway.

“We’re delighted to secure the first commission for This is Your Fridge in the CEE region at NATPE Europe this week,” said Sebastian Burkhardt, head of sales at Banijay International, in a statement.

“The series presents a unique and entertaining combination of incredibly popular genres – cookery and celebrity – in a cost-effective format that’s simple to produce for local audiences.”
