Fox Int’l Channels takes “The Taste” for 50 territories

Fox International Channels Latin America has acquired the U.S. version of The Taste (pictured) to air in 50 territories including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.

Fox International Channels Latin America has picked up the U.S. version of The Taste (pictured) to air in 50 territories.

The culinary competition show, which was created by Red Arrow-owned producer Kinetic Content, will broadcast in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela, among other territories.

In the U.S. version, celebrity chefs Nigella Lawson, Anthony Bourdain, Marcus Samuelsson and Ludo Lefebvre mentor and challenge  home cooks angling to become America’s next superchef. It is exec produced by Chris Coelen, Matilda Zoltowski, Emma Conway, Bourdain and Lawson.

A local version of the format will air on Brazilian cable channel GNT next year. Networks including Canada’s CTV, Australia’s Nine Network, Germany’s Sat.1, the UK’s Channel 4 and France’s M6 have also bought the format.

Kinetic is currently in production on a third season of the series for ABC.
