Food and adventure series Nomad Chef (pictured) is set to debut on Discovery Channel Australia on Friday (December 12).

The Beach House Pictures- and Chemical Media-produced series follows Scottish-born chef Jock Zonfrillo as he travels to remote communities around the world to harvest ingredients and learn to cook indigenous dishes. The chef travelled to 10 countries over the six-month shoot, living with communities in Vanuatu, Ethiopia and China, among others.

The 10 x 60-minute series has previously aired in both the UK and Philippines – where it ran on TLC – and is also broadcast in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Nomad Chef is exec produced by Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific’s Vikram Channa. Beach House Pictures’ Donovan Chan and Chemical Media’s Tony Jackson also serve as executive producers.
