Syfy signs on for “Troy: Street Magic” series

U.S. net Syfy has acquired a 10-part unscripted magic series featuring British street magician Troy Von Scheibner (pictured), set to debut in January.

U.S. net Syfy has acquired a 10-part unscripted magic series featuring British street magician Troy Von Scheibner (pictured), set to debut in January.

Titled Troy: Street Magic, the series is to follow Von Scheibner as he performs magic on unsuspecting locals and tourists around London. The magician’s portfolio of tricks includes teleporting across the Tower Bridge, as well as causing it to “rain money” over London’s financial district.

The series – a copro between Zig Zag Productions and GroupM Entertainment – is to premiere on January 13 at 10 p.m. EST/PST.

Executive producers on the series include Danny Fenton and Rob Hyde from Zig Zag, as well as Abigail Adams of GroupM.
