Studio Hamburg Enterprises names Rönsch sole CEO

Christian Rönsch (pictured) is to become the sole CEO of distributor Studio Hamburg Enterprises following the departure of Tanja Meier-Sieden.

The company, which is a joint venture between Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing and ZDF Enterprises, is in the midst of expanding its archive business. Effective immediately, Rönsch will oversee the purchase and distribution of feature films and TV licenses, with a focus on the DVD/Blu-ray market.

He joined Studio Hamburg Enterprises in June 2013 as managing director from FilmConfect where he served as CEO.

Shareholders appointed Meier-Sieden to the CEO role in mid-2013 and she resigned from the executive board on December 31, as planned, following the completion of her mandate. She will now concentrate on business development for ZDF Enterprises.
