Blue Box sells “The Bodyguard” into Finland

Italian distributor Blue Box Entertainment has sold the format rights to its talent show The Bodyguard (pictured) to Finnish prodco Femkanten Media.

The show – which was originally produced by Italian prodco Vivi la Vita – sees 12 men and women competing against one another for the chance to start a career as a celebrity bodyguard.

Participants enter a training school, where they are taught by professional coaches and must ultimately perform a series of challenges judged by a jury. A contestant is eliminated each week, with the winner receiving a contract for a bodyguard position with a celebrity client.

The Helsinki-based Femkanten Media specializes in entertainment, factual entertainment and formats with programming spanning talk shows and lifestyle to reality and cooking shows.
