Chinese media entertainment group Star China has acquired the rights to produce a Chinese version of the Korean format Infinite Challenge.

The format, distributed and syndicated by South Korea’s MBC, follows six comedians as they form a team and attempt to perform comical and often impossible challenges.

The 10-year-old format has own its Saturday evening time slot for several years, and is the most watched non-drama program in South Korea.

“We are confident that this unique show will be a hit in China,” said Vivian Yin (pictured), chief representative of Star China and VP of Starry Productions, in a statement. “We have a strong history of creating and producing the country’s top rated formats such as The Voice of China and Sing My Song and look forward to taking Infinite Challenge to that level.”
