Scripps UK, EMEA orders “Baggage,” “Food Academy”

Scripps Networks UK and EMEA has ordered the series Baggage Battles(pictured) and Jenny & Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy for the Travel Channel and Food Network, respectively.

The latter has commissioned the original series Jenny & Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy (25 x 30 minutes), in which Jenny Morris and Reza Mahammad are to teach six amateur chefs how to create a professional meal. Produced by Okuhle Media in South Africa, the series is to air on the Food Network UK and EMEA in the third quarter of this year.

Meanwhile, a fifth season of the Media Ranch and MY Entertainment-produced Baggage Battles (13 x 30 minutes) is to be Travel Channel UK and EMEA’s first commission for the year, and will air in the final quarter of 2015. The show follows a crew of auction specialists as they travel the world bidding on unclaimed baggage and freight.

Both series were commissioned by Gareth Williams, VP of commissioning for Scripps Networks UK & EMEA. Michael Yudin of MY Entertainment serves as executive producer on Baggage Battles, while Louise McClelland of Okuhle Media is exec producing Jenny & Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy.
