Banijay Int’l taps Jackson to lead global sales

Distributor Banijay International has hired former DCD Rights exec Michael Jackson (pictured) as its head of global sales.

Distributor Banijay International has hired Michael Jackson (pictured) as head of global sales.

Formerly senior sales and acquisitions executive for DCD Rights, he will be based in London and cover the UK, Asia and pan-regional broadcasters, as well as Germany, Benelux and CEE while Siobhan Herriott is on mat leave.

Jackson has also previously worked with Zodiak Rights, DRG’s Zeal Television and Endemol-backed, multi-platform digital distribution company Mo Media. He will report to Banijay managing director Emmanuelle Namiech.

Additionally, Banijay International’s VP, sales and acquisitions Jimmy Humphrey is expanding his role and will now sell content into Canada, the U.S., Scandinavia and in Australia and New Zealand.

In March, Banijay’s VP of international distribution Sebastian Burkhardt left the company to join Israeli producer-distributor Keshet International.
