The seventh season of TLC’s Cake Boss is kicking off with a live two-hour event from Carlo’s Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey.

In the season premiere, Carlo’s owner Buddy Valastro (pictured), his family and other TLC favorites gather for a celebration of the forthcoming season, which will find the group renovating the 50-year-old cake shop and uncovering a message to Valastro from his late father.

The latest edition of the popular series will also see the team working to deliver such orders as a meat-topped creation, a “naked” offering and a commemorative cake for Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday, in addition to catering to celebrity clients, including musicians Common and John Legend.

Cake Boss is produced by High Noon Entertainment and Valastro’s Cakehouse Media. The new season bows on September 8 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
