FremantleMedia has tapped former All3Media creative director David Liddiment (pictured) as non-executive chairman of its UK division.
In the new role, Liddiment – who will also sit on the company’s operating board – is to assist in the development and expansion of genres and commercial opportunities for the UK business. He will advise Richard Holloway, interim CEO of FremantleMedia UK (FMUK), as well as the FMUK management team, and the MDs of its group of labels, which include Boundless, Euston Films, Newman Street, Retort, Shotglass Media, and Talkback Thames.
Liddiment most recently served as co-founder and creative director of UK indie giant All3Media – retiring from its board of directors in September 2014 – and as BBC trustee between 2006 and 2014.
As a former director of programs and channels at ITV from 1997 to 2002, Liddiment commissioned a number of popular reality series including Pop Idol, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, You’ve been Framed and Stars in their Eyes.
