NBC’s long-running scripted police procedural series Law & Order will receive a reality adaptation from producer Dick Wolf (pictured).

The tentatively titled Law & Order: You the Jury will follow real-life civil cases allowing viewers the opportunity to serve as the jury. The docudrama is produced by Wolf Reality and Hollywood-based prodco Magical Elves.

During each live hour-long episode, viewers will be encouraged to interact with the series by casting votes throughout the trial on the “veracity of witnesses and persuasiveness of evidence” and on each resulting verdict. An airdate has not yet been announced.

Dick Wolf and Tom Thayer serve as executive producers for Wolf Reality, with Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz exec producing for Magical Elves.

The announcement comes more than a year after A&E Network had signed on for Wolf’s 8 x 60-minute detective series D.O.A.
